Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in 1980. Bell is a Michigan native, born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Her heritage includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen was already an accomplished entertainer in the early stages. She was just 12 when she went to her first audition and won the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent when she was thirteen, and she was subsequently cast in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. In addition, she is beginning classes in acting for herself. Bell played an uncredited part in Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band and drama clubs. She was the star as Dorothy in the school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell went on to study in musical theater at the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. In 2001, Bell left university to perform the part in the role of Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she starred in Pootie Tang However, the sequence in which she appeared was cut. As a result, only her credit sequence exists. Bell made an appearance together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
